The difference that decides most homes is the outlet. All 4 Peak models we track plug into a normal household outlet. None of the 12 Sun Home models do: the smallest need a dedicated 120V / 20A outlet, and the larger ones a higher-amp 120V circuit or 240V.
Sun Home's range is wider: 1–5 seats, indoor and outdoor. We track 4 Peak models, all indoor, 1–2 seats; Peak also lists larger and outdoor models we haven't added yet.
How we compare: published specs only, checked 2026-10-19. We don't test saunas, and commission never changes what's listed or its order.

Decided by facts you can check, not by feel.
We haven't collected warranty terms, wood, or build details from both brands yet, and we don't test saunas, so we leave those out rather than guess. Both brands publish EMF figures and wellness marketing; we don't repeat or rate either. Check each brand's own pages for those.

Space it needs = the cabin plus the maker's clearance at the sides, back and top (2″ where the maker publishes none). * The spec has gaps; the model page says which.
Neither is better for every home. The fact that decides most cases is the outlet: the Peak models we track run on a normal outlet, while every Sun Home model needs a dedicated 20A circuit or 240V. Sun Home covers more sizes, including outdoor models.
Peak lists all 4 models we track as running on a standard household outlet. It doesn't publish the amps for its 1-person models, so confirm before you buy if the circuit is shared.
No. None of the 12 Sun Home models we track do. The 1- to 3-person Solstice and Equinox models need a dedicated 120V/20A outlet (NEMA 5-20), which is usually a $100–$300 job if you don't have one.
Both brands offer HSA/FSA checkout according to their sites. Whether your plan pays is up to your plan administrator.
