How we check fit
Every match on Saunafit comes from the same five checks. No sauna is boosted or hidden for commercial reasons.
1. Floor size
We add the maker's published side and back gap to the sauna's outside width and depth, and 2 inches when the maker doesn't publish one. The total has to fit inside the space you enter. Square and rectangular cabins can be turned sideways; barrel saunas can't, because the door is on the end.
2. Ceiling height
For indoor spaces, the sauna's height plus the maker's top gap (or 2 inches) must be at or below your ceiling. Outdoor saunas skip this check.
3. Wiring
Each sauna is in one of five groups: normal 120V outlet; dedicated 120V 20A circuit; dedicated 120V circuit above 20A; 240V plug-in; 240V hardwired. You tell us what you have and we show saunas that work on it. Saying you can add a 20A circuit includes everything that runs on 120V. Saying you can add 240V includes everything.
4. Seats, heat and setting
Seats are the maker's person rating. A sauna rated for both indoor and outdoor use shows in both.
5. Price
Prices are the list price on the maker's or main dealer's site on the day we checked (October 2026). Sales change them often. Quote-only models are never cut by the budget filter.
Known gaps
14 models carry a note where sources disagree or we had to assume a figure; the card says so. Electrical costs are rough planning ranges, not quotes. Always check the current spec sheet and talk to a licensed electrician before you buy.
